The leopold spot is a wasteland in the heart of the european parlement, flat and nice to hang out,  this part is close to the acces blocked to the train station. For now we didn’t have any problem wtih the security dude. This is the Merlin HQ

It was Friday morning when Karel from dealer bicycles and member of pedalbxl dropped, before his messenger journey, our order at the secret place.
Unfortunarly I was in a meeting back then and couldn’t greet the guy. But when I came back I found the 4 gusset risers standing proudly on my desk.
Clemsy and I chosen the kick ass prisonbar in pure bmx style. While rdbx and Merlin when for the 3″ openprison bar.
The first things comming in mind is that they look super beefy and soooo long.
The bars have a 22.2mm diameter to fist BMX stems but also come with a 25.4 adapter.

Later that day Merlin and I went to the local BMX shop for grips and stem.
While building stem and bar on the Subrossa, Hangloose’s boss was again telling the stories of how outdated and pointless street riding is on a fixedgear bike. Alright but head up for the service and advises. It is always a good time to go there and meet people so passionate and dedicated to riding like we are.

Big bars for sure increase stability and give extra comfort and strenght to your tricks.
So far Merlin cutted about 4cm on his bar for better Barspin and rdbx cutted 2cm. Clemsy will test this added lenght on the polo field. Me, I still don’t know.
Cutting or not cutting that is the question.

Cause yes, size does matter.

Small Spot

When you don’t feel like sharing or when the skatepark is overcrowded.

You just have to go around the corner along the railway and find this little spot.

The place is pretty small so you’ll have to be creative.

And the best part is that it is also Polo friendly with a nice closed court .
